Looking at Borussia Dortmund’s tough schedule, Mats Hummels says he expects this month to be “one of the toughest” of his career.
After beating Bayern Munich 2-0 at the end of March, Dortmund now face Stuttgart, Atletico Madrid (twice), Gladbach, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig before the end of April.
“April will be one of the toughest months of my career. But we’re looking forward to it and can make sure it’s a great month,” Hummels told Kicker, adding that he believes BVB laid a “good foundation” for the tough games ahead with the win over Bayern.
“We had the feeling from the beginning that we could take something from the game,” he said.
Next up for Dortmund is Saturday’s home game against VfB Stuttgart before an away trip to Atletico Madrid in a week’s time.
