Georges Mikautadze is set to lead the line for FC Metz as they look to register their first victory since beating FC Lorient back on 26th November.
Metz are currently in the relegation zone in Ligue 1 and just one point above rock-bottom Clermont Foot. Laszlo Boloni needs to spark a revival, and quickly, if the club are to avoid an immediate return to the second division. However, he will be without some key players for the encounter. Notably, Ablie Jallow is out of the encounter, as is Kevin N’Doram, and the more sparingly utilised Benjamin Tetteh.
L’Équipe also believe that Kevin Van Den Kerkhof, one of the stars of this struggling Metz side this season, will start the encounter from the bench.
Metz likely lineup v Lyon
Alexandre Oukidja; Matthieu Udol, Sadibou Sané, Ismaël Traoré, Maxime Colin; Cheikh Sabaly, Lamine Camara, Danley Jean Jacques, Joel Asoro; Didier Lamkel Zé, Georges Mikautadze. (L’Éq)
