Speaking to the BBC, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin responded to criticism surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s (23) contract prolongation at PSG.
He said, “Neither Real Madrid nor anyone else will tell UEFA what to do. They’re incensed, but as far as I know, Real Madrid’s offer (for Mbappé) was similar to PSG’s.”
Questioned on state ownership of clubs, Ceferin added, “Some English clubs are owned by Americans, some by people from the Middle East, some by Englishmen. So it’s exactly the same situation and I’m sick of these accusations.”
