Zlatan Ibrahimović’s long-awaited return to Milan has today been pushed back once again.
The name of former Rossoneri hitman Ibrahimović has of course long taken its place back in the headlines at Milanello.
This comes after the Swede, after bringing a close to his legendary playing career in Milan colours this past summer, negotiated a move into the boardroom at San Siro.
Last week, it was confirmed that ‘Ibra’ has agreed to become the new ‘Operating Partner at RedBird’, and ‘Senior Advisor to Ownership’.
As of yet, however, the ex-striker has not reported for duty in Lombardy. The hope was that he would be in place to speak to Stefano Pioli’s squad ahead of their upcoming Serie A meeting with Monza on Sunday.
But, as confirmed by TuttomercatoWeb, Ibrahimović is instead bed-bound, owing to a bout of flu.
It is in turn unclear whether or not he will be present to take in the action at San Siro later this afternoon.
