Florian Wirtz is expected to stay at Bayer Leverkusen beyond the end of the season, according to his father and agent.

Florian Wirtz has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen, but it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere next summer.

In an interview with Sky Germany, Florian Wirtz’s father and agent, Hans-Joachim Wirtz, said that a lot speaks for the 20-year-old staying for at least one more season.

“At the moment, everything points to Florian playing for Leverkusen next season,” said Hans-Joachim Wirtz.

Wirtz has a contract with Leverkusen until 2027 and has been linked with clubs including Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.

He has made 122 appearances for Leverkusen, scoring 29 goals and providing 40 assists.
