The father of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has revealed that his son ‘dreams’ of taking his talents to Spain, to line out for Real Madrid at some point in the future.
Kvaratskhelia, of course, was afforded the opportunity to showcase his talents against Real just last night, upon Napoli making the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu for a Champions League group stage clash.
The Partenopei were ultimately put to the sword by four goals to two, with ‘Kvaradona’ having endured something of a hit-and-miss outing.
Nevertheless, though, he remains hopeful of one day doing enough to coax the powers that be in Madrid into sanctioning a move for his signature.
That’s according to the Georgian’s father, anyway.
Speaking to Geo Team, via Goal, on the back of Wednesday’s Bernabéu matchup, Badri Kvaratskhelia dropped something of a bombshell.
This came in the form of confirmation that the Napoli wide-man ‘has always dreamed’ of lining out in the colours of Los Merengues:
“For Khvicha, playing against Real Madrid was special. He has always dreamed and I am convinced that he still dreams of playing for Real Madrid.
“In my family, everyone is a fan of Los Blancos – except for me. For this reason, it was a very special match.”
