Julian Baumgartlinger is retiring from football at the age of 35.

Julian Baumgartlinger announced his decision to hang up his boots on Monday evening.
The 35-year-old has been without a club since leaving Augsburg in the summer. He joined the Fuggerstädter from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2022 and made 17 appearances for the club before suffering a meniscus injury.
Baumgartlinger played for 1860 Munich, Austria Vienna, Mainz, Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg during his career.
In total he made 255 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists.
He served as captain of the Austrian national team, for whom he made 84 appearances.
