RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins has revealed that former Nottingham Forest forward André Ayew (33) is set to be unveiled as a new Le Havre AC player on Saturday evening.
Ayew has been a free agent since a short stint at Premier League side Nottingham Forest came to an end in the summer. As revealed exclusively by Foot Mercato, the Ghanaian international was set for a return to Ligue 1, eight years after leaving Olympique de Marseille. The club was initially unnamed but has now been revealed.
Le Havre will confirm the signing of Ayew later on Saturday and he is expected to be presented to the Stade Océane ahead of the Ligue 1 encounter against AS Monaco. According to Foot Mercato, the deal has been signed and only the confirmation remains. Les Ciel et Marine are currently seventh in Ligue 1 following their promotion from Ligue 2. Ayew will compete with Lille OSC loanee Mohamed Bayo for a starting spot in the team.
