With Bayer Leverkusen not playing until Sunday, Bayern Munich can top the Bundesliga with a win against Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon.
But the big news coming into this game is the absence of Jamal Musiala. The 20-year-old suffered a hamstring injury against Galatasaray in midweek and also misses out on Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad as he recovers. Joshua Kimmich also has one game remaining on his suspension which means a midfield duo of Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka, with Thomas Müller replacing Musiala in an attacking role.
Marvin Pieringer have featured in nine of Heidenheim’s ten Bundesliga games this season and after missing last weekend’s win against Stuttgart because of a flesh wound, he’s expected to return to the squad against Bayern Munich. Other than that, Heidenheim have a full strength squad available but if Eren Dinkçi picks up another yellow card, he will be suspended for the game against Bochum after the international break.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Heidenheim
Manuel Neuer – Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Alphonso Davies – Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka – Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané – Harry Kane.
