Edin Terzić is expected to make two changes to his Borussia Dortmund team that beat Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Friday night as they host Milan at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night.
According to Kicker, Niklas Süle is expected to partner Mats Hummels in central defence, with Nico Schlotterbeck dropping to the bench. All three started in their opening Champions League game against PSG when Terzić opted for a back three/five, but Dortmund are expected to revert back to a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 against Milan.
Additionally, Emre Can is expected to return to the starting lineup in place of Felix Nmecha. Can, who was appointed as Dortmund captain after Marco Reus relinquished his position, will partner Salih Özcan who has impressed of late.
In the final third of the pitch, Julian Brandt, Marco Reus, Donyell Malen and Niclas Füllkrug are all expected to start, with Sébastien Haller, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko useful options from the bench.
Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Milan
Gregor Kobel – Julian Ryerson, Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Ramy Bensebaini – Salih Özcan, Emre Can – Julian Brandt, Marco Reus, Donyell Malen – Niclas Füllkrug.
