Marcel Halstenberg has revealed he’s not sure that he will still be playing for RB Leipzig next season.
The defender’s contract runs out at the end of June, and he hasn’t been able to agree a new deal with Leipzig yet.
“We had very good negotiations and talks, but the overall package doesn’t quite fit yet,” Halstenberg told Bild.
Halstenberg added that that “many factors play a role” regarding his sporting future, including his family.
“I’m not quite sure yet what I want to do,” admitted the defender.
According to Bild, there are inquiries from other clubs. Last summer, Borussia Dortmund were interested in the 30-year-old.
