Real Madrid return to La Liga action on Wednesday evening, when they take on Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabéu. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be hoping to bounce back from their Madrid derby defeat (3-1) to Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano on Sunday night.
Ferland Mendy could start the game after getting his first minutes of the season in the derby and Nacho is in contention to start ahead of David Alaba. In midfield, Ancelotti could opt for Fede Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga, having started Toni Kroos and Luka Modric against Atlético.
Possible Real Madrid XI vs Las Palmas
Real Madrid could line up as follows against Las Palmas: Kepa – Lucas Vázquez, Rüdiger, Nacho, Mendy – Valverde, Tchouaméni, Camavinga – Bellingham, Rodrygo, Joselu. (AS)
Third-choice goalkeeper Fran González is the only home-grown player in a squad that includes Andriy Lunin, Fran García, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Brahim and Dani Ceballos. Ceballos has yet to play this season despite being on the bench in the last three games.
