RMC Sport are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte (22) is a doubt to face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
The Uruguayan international has quickly established himself in Luis Enrique’s midfield. Having returned back from international duty just a day before Friday’s match against OGC Nice, Ugarte only made the bench, and his absence was felt as Les Parisiens succumbed to their first defeat of the season (2-3).
PSG may now be without Ugarte against Borussia Dortmund as well. As reported by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Ugarte received a knock in training on Monday, just over 24 hours before PSG’s Champions League opener at the Parc des Princes. Should the former Sporting midfielder fail to make the starting XI, Danilo Pereira, who has captained PSG at times this season, would be Ugarte’s likely replacement. Warren Zaïre-Emery and Vitinha are also both expected to start in Luis Enrique’s midfield.
