Kicker suggests that Edin Terzić will select Niclas Füllkrug ahead of Sébastien Haller for Borussia Dortmund against PSG in their opening Group F fixture of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
This comes with Haller on somewhat of a goal drought with no Bundesliga goal in 277 minutes across four games this season. The inclusion of Füllkrug in the starting XI will offer Borussia Dortmund a different impetus in attack, where he’s expected to face off against Marquinhos and Milan Škriniar.
Terzić is also expected to make defensive alterations with Julian Ryerson switching to left-back and Ramy Bensebaini dropping to the bench, with Marius Wolf coming in at right-back, presumably to deal with the pace of PSG’s attacking threat of Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani and Kylian Mbappé.
Heading into the game, Borussia Dortmund have also been handed a boost with the return of Gio Reyna. The American has been named in the BVB squad for the first time this season after an injury, picked up on international duty, has kept Reyna out since June.
Felix Nmecha, Marco Reus, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Youssoufa Moukoko should all be options from the bench for Borussia Dortmund against PSG on Tuesday night.
Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs PSG
Gregor Kobel – Marius Wolf, Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Julian Ryerson – Emre Can, Marcel Sabitzer – Donyell Malen, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi – Niclas Füllkrug.
