PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has been officially re-elected as the chairman of the European Club Association, the ECA has confirmed. The Qatari president will stand another 4-year term as Chairman for the next cycle lasting until 2027.
Al-Khelaïfi will also sit on the UEFA Executive Committee alongside Atlético Madrid’s Miguel Ángel Gil Marín. The Qatari businessman’s re-election as the head of the association was confirmed at their general assembly which took place in the German capital of Berlin.
In his role as head of the ECA, the PSG president was a big detractor and critical of the European Super League project, and has previously said that the clubs were “wasting their energy”. Al-Khelaïfi is not the only representative from French Football on the board with Marseille’s Pablo Longoria, Monaco’s Juan Sartori and OL Féminin’s Michele Kang also being elected as board members at the general assembly.
