Eden Hazard terminated his contract with Real Madrid in July but he is still in Madrid, as Marca have reported.
The Belgian forward was planning to see which clubs were in for him after his poor spell at the Bernabéu came to a close, but it seems that none of the options have really moved the 32-year-old.
He remains in Madrid as it is where his family is based, and one of his children plays for the Real Madrid academy. There have been rumours of a possible retirement as the next step for Hazard, and he has added fuel to the fire. In a new documentary on the Belgian national team, he began to make it clear that the end of his career could be coming soon, by saying: “It’s time to enjoy life by drinking a few beers.”
The ex-Chelsea star was never able to hit the heights for Real Madrid that he did whilst in London, but he is a modern footballing legend nonetheless. Injuries and inconsistency plagued his time with Los Blancos, and now he has to make an important over his future.
