According to Foot Mercato, André Ayew wants to sign for a club that plays in Europe’s top 5 leagues. A free agent following the expiry of his contract with Nottingham Forest, the Ghanaian is currently the recipient of interest from clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the MLS.
Despite receiving lots of interest from clubs around the world, the former Swansea attacker wants to continue his career in one of Europe’s top 5 leagues. Following two years in Qatar with Al-Sadd, Ayew returned to England in February and signed for Nottingham as a free agent. The Ghana captain failed to score in just 305 minutes of Premier League action for Forest.
The transfer window has now closed in Europe’s top 5 leagues but clubs are still able to register players who have signed as free agents. Interest from top European clubs could yet arrive but it remains to be seen where Ayew will be playing his football following the closure of the transfer window.
