FC Augsburg forward Mergim Berisha has asked to leave the club, according to Sky Germany.
The 25-year-old did not take part in team training this morning, and is allowed to leave the club for around a fee €15m.
It has been reported that Borussia Dortmund are interested and talks have begun with the player but there are also more concrete options on the table for him.
Dortmund would like further reinforcements in their attack, especially with Sébastien Haller becoming unavailable in the winter as he is playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The German striker scored nine goals and provided four assists in 23 Bundesliga games for Augsburg last season whilst being on loan from Turkish side, Fenerbahçe. He additionally made his debut for the German national team in March.
Time is running out for Berisha to leave the club though as the Bundesliga transfer window closes on Friday at 5pm.
