João Félix wants to move to Barcelona before the summer transfer window closes and here is how he could fit into Xavi’s team if the move does go through in the next few hours.
The Portugal international could fit in the two systems that Xavi uses most often. In a 4-3-3 he could operate from the left flank, where he can use his ability to cut inside and create chances.
In a 4-4-2, João could play alongside the striker as he has done on countless occasions at Atlético Madrid, partnering Luis Suárez in his day and later Álvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann.
He could also operate deeper in a 4-4-2, closer to Ilkay Güngodan and just behind Robert Lewandowski. Xavi believes that in that area, the Atlético player can be decisive.
