Newly promoted Serie A side Genoa are keen on signing Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele are in talks to land the Frenchman.
Ndombele spent a loan stint at Napoli and while he did win silverware, the midfielder could never truly become a regular fixture of the side.
Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that talks between Genoa and Spurs are now on but it will not be easy for the Italian side to convince the midfielder, as things stand. It would be Genoa’s last major signing, after they landed Matteo Retegui, Ruslan Malinovskyi and former Milan man Junior Messias.
For the Partenopei last season, Ndombele played 40 times in all competitions and scored once, racking up two assists. He had initially joined Spurs for a club record fee under Mauricio Pochettino but things haven’t worked out for him and he has also previously spent a loan stint at former club Lyon, as he continues to rediscover his spark.
