PSG agree terms with Benfica over Gonçalo Ramos signing

L’Équipe report this evening that Paris Saint-Germain have reached agreements on all fronts over the signing of Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica.

Reports from earlier last week indicated that the Ligue 1 champions had already agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old, who was the latest in a long line of centre-forward targets for PSG this summer – after the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Dušan Vlahović and Rasmus Højlund passed them by.

The Portugal international, who notably scored a hat-trick in the World Cup knockout stages last year against Switzerland, will join on an initial loan deal, which includes what is virtually an obligatory permanent clause. Ramos himself is expected to arrive in the French capital this coming week.

Under-pressure sporting advisor Luís Campos was said to have been leading the way on the deal, notably by way of his proximity with Ramos’ agent Jorge Mendes.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the eventual €80m fee will be broken down into a €65m guaranteed sum, along with €15m in potential add-ons.
