Sky Germany‘s Sven Westerschulze reports that Sébastien Haller has passed his Borussia Dortmund medical ahead of a move from Eredivisie side Ajax.
The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year contract until 2026 with the Bundesliga club. BVB will pay Ajax a reported €31m plus €4m in performance related bonuses.
Although a total agreement has been reached and Haller has passed his medical, the deal won’t be made official until July. According to Kicker, this is because Ajax wan’t to make the move official with an ad-hoc statement in a new financial year.
For Haller, this doesn’t make much of a difference. The Ivory Coast forward wouldn’t start training until July 8 or 9.
After scoring 33 goals and creating 19 in 77 games for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2017 and 2019, Haller returns to the Bundesliga after a spell in England with West Ham before joining Ajax.
During his time at West Ham, Haller scored just 14 in 54 games but regained his for in the Netherlands, scoring 47 and creating 16 in 65 games in all competitions for Ajax.
