According to reporting from L’Équipe Olympique Lyonnais’s American owners have contacted Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic (24) over a potential move. He is reportedly a high-priority transfer target in the upper echelons of John Textor’s Eagle Football group.
This season Pulisic has only played 1,012 minutes across thirty appearances in all competitions. Valued at around €20 million this summer, a transfer fee that represents a bargain in the current market, the USMNT international has been the focus of an ongoing charm offensive by Lyon ownerJohn Textor and his associates at Eagle Football. Pulisic has not shown any reluctance to the idea so far, L’Équipe report.
Lyon’s owners at Eagle Football are envisioning bringing “Captain America” to Les Gones three years ahead of the 2026 World Cup. However, competition for the American’s signature is fierce. Napoli, Juventus, and AC Milan have expressed interest from Italy, whilst the player still harbours hope of reigniting his career in the Premier League. This could mean that Crystal Palace – a club that Eagle football hold 45% of their shares – could become another option for the Chelsea man.
