Speaking exclusively to Bild, Sadio Mané discussed his reasoning behind his decision to join Bayern Munich.
“My life has always been a challenge,” said Mané. “When my advisor first told me about Bayern Munich’s interest, I was hooked. I saw myself there right away. For me, it was the right club at the right time.
“It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team always fights for every title. So for me is was a very good idea and the right decision to come here. My agent told me there was also enquiries from other clubs. That’s part of the business but I got the feeling right away when Bayern presented the plan to me. I found myself in Bayern’s plans more than anyone else.”
The 30-year-old has completed his Bayern Munich medical and could be presented as a Bayern player on Wednesday. Liverpool will receive an initial €32m for the Senegal international, who has agreed a three-year contract.
