Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham, as reported exclusively by David Ornstein of the Athletic. BVB will receive a fee “in excess of €100m” with the England international expected to undergo a medical in the coming days.
Bellingham (19) is expected to sign a contract until 2029 with the move finalised in the coming days. This comes after reports in Germany stating that Dortmund wanted a base fee of €120m for Bellingham, who won Bundesliga Player of the Season, following an exceptional year at BVB after they missed out on the Meisterschale on the final day.
Although nothing has been signed officially, this will be one of the biggest deals in the history of both clubs. Bellingham will play a role alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni, who joined Madrid last summer for €80m, for years to come.
The fee that BVB will receive will be a significant return on the €20m fee BVB paid Birmingham in 2020 with Bellingham going on to play 132 games in all competitions, scoring 24 and creating 25.
