Juventus have identified Kalidou Koulibaly as an astute addition to their defensive rank, which has seen the departures of Merih Demiral and Giorgio Chiellini in recent times.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will use the Demiral money and Federico Gatti to lure Kalidou Koulibaly away from Napoli this summer. The report understands that Napoli have slapped a price tag of around €40million on the services of the defender, who will be a free agent next summer.
The Bianconeri management has reportedly accumulated half of Koulibaly’s valuation by offloading Demiral, who has joined Atalanta on a permanent deal.
Now, it is suggested that the inclusion of Federico Gatti, who was on loan at Frosinone last season and recently made the senior debut in the national colours, in a potential deal will help the Old Lady convince Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli president.
The Partenopei management likes the profile of Gatti and has been following the player since the last January transfer window. Although the signing of Koulibaly remains only a mere dream at the moment, Juventus relatively lack numbers in their defensive department.
