Bayern Munich will meet with the representatives of Benjamin Pavard to discuss a potential contract extension beyond 2024 once the season is over, according to Sky Germany.
As per Florian Plettenberg, it will be a question of money. Bayern Munich will not extend the Frenchman’s contract at any price – Pavard receives a reported salary between €6m and €8n.
There’s two options regarding Pavard in the summer. Find an agreement or part ways. Last summer, both Manchester United and Chelsea showed significant interest in signing Pavard but a move never materialised.
Bayern Munich also rejected an offer from Serie A club Inter on deadline day in January and so the central-defender does have interest from several clubs – should Bayern Munich and Pavard fail to reach an agreement for an extension, the France international won’t be short on offers.
Because of the injury to Lucas Hernandez and Noussair Mazraoui yet to live up to expectation, Pavard has found himself playing more often this season, featuring 39 times across all competitions.
