The situation between Vincenzo Italiano and Fiorentina is now at a tense stalemate, when it comes to the manager’s new contract.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the situation between the two parties is at a ‘complete frost’, meaning that there is now a danger of La Viola potentially losing Italiano. That is because of the distance between the demands of the manager’s agent and what Fiorentina are offering for a new deal.
The manager has asked for €2.5 million per season, whereas Fiorentina are not going beyond their offer of €1.5 million per season and they are said to be sticking to that figure. While Fiorentina really appreciate Italiano, misunderstanding has developed between the two parties.
It is stated that if something untoward happens, Roberto de Zerbi could be a potential replacement for Italiano, as the Shakhtar Donetsk boss was Fiorentina’s top choice even last summer. As things stand though, tensions are building at the club.
