With the exception of Patrik Schick and Exequiel Palacios, Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has a full squad at his disposal for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin.
“Patrik Schick will be missing again. Exequiel Palacios will have to wait a little longer. Otherwise, all players are on board,” Xabi Alonso confirmed at today’s pre-match press conference.
Curently sixth in the table, Leverkusen will be looking to build on a 13-match unbeaten run in all competitions against third-placed Union.
“We are totally focused. There are still five games to go before the end of this Bundesliga season. May is the most important phase of the season,” said Xabi Alonso.
“Union Berlin is third in the table, they deserve that and are a real top opponent. We can expect a tough game, but of course we hope for a positive result.”
