SC Freiburg defender Philipp Lienhart has admitted that he is considering whether it’s time for a change of scenery.
The 26-year-old insists he is not ready to leave for any club, but admits he could be tempted to try something else if the right offer comes along.
“For me it’s clear that everything has to be right for a transfer. It’s not that I have to leave. The club has developed so much that there are now excellent prospects, not only on a personal level, but also on a sporting level,” Lienhart, who has a contract until 2024, told Sport Bild.
“I also know that my professional career is limited. That’s why I’m already thinking about whether it’s time to do something else.
“Because of my time at Real Madrid, I like Spain a lot. If an interesting offer came along, I would think about it. But it would definitely have to be attractive from a sporting point of view.”
The right-footed centre-back has made 32 appearances for Freiburg this season.
