Le Parisien are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain will transfer list Hugo Ekitike (20), who joined the club from Stade de Reims on a loan deal with an obligatory purchase clause at the beginning of the season.
Ekitike joined PSG in July after an eye-catching breakthrough season at Ligue 1 rivals Reims. The forward, who scored ten goals last season and was the subject of sustained interest from Newcastle in both the winter and summer windows. However, he hasn’t managed to replicate that form for Les Parisiens this season. The French youth international has played 27 games in all competitions but has only scored four times in that time.
Consequently, PSG are already considering selling the player, report Le Parisien. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi insisted on signing Ekitike due to his good relationship with Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot. Whilst the former Reims forward is only on loan at PSG, once the deal becomes permanent in the summer, he will be made available for transfer.
