Alvaro Morata will return to Atletico Madrid if Juventus don’t find an agreement with the Spanish club over the permanent transfer of the striker.
According to journalist Fabiana Della Valle, Morata is willing to continue his career at Juventus and has thus rejected lucrative offers from Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Furthermore, the report understands Juventus recently made an attempt to sign the Spaniard at a reasonable price, offering Atleti a package of €15 million plus bonuses and inserting players like Adrien Rabiot, Denis Zakaria, and Moise Kean in a potential deal.
But the club, hailing from the capital of Madrid, has reportedly rebuffed Bianconeri’s offer, declaring that they were not open to negotiations on the fee of €35 million agreed upon between the two clubs initially.
If Juventus fail to redeem the sharpshooter’s services, the 29-year-old will return to Atleti, where Diego Simeone would be happy to keep him as a replacement for the departing Luis Suarez.
Morata had an agreement with Barcelona in the last winter transfer window, but Allegri’s cajoling words led the player to stay put in Turin. Thus, Morata’s departure will leave the manager disappointed. As per the report, Marko Arnautović and Luis Suarez are considered the potential deputies for Dushan Vlahovic in Turin.
