According to RMC Sport Christophe Galtier’s position as Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier’s position as head coach is under scrutiny, but no decision has yet been made on the Frenchman’s future. This follows PSG’s 0-1 loss at home to Lyon in Ligue 1 yesterday evening.
The loss against Lyon has taken PSG back 22 years, as the team has not suffered as many defeats at the start of a calendar year since 2001. This is an unprecedented situation since the arrival of the Qatari investors in 2011. In the midst of this losing streak, all eyes are on Galtier, who has already lost some of his credibility after PSG’s elimination in the round of 16 of the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
Despite the situation, there has been no decision made regarding Galtier’s future with the club, as per the sources cited by RMC Sport. The PSG coach, who is under contract until 2024, refuses to give up and expects more from his players. “It’s the eighth defeat in 2023,” he regretted after the match. “That’s way too much. Match after match, we’re burning our chances. Am I resigned? No! I’m going to fight until the end. We need to have a different approach. There might be some fatigue after the break, but we have to react in the next game.”
