Crystal Palace would want “huge money” if they were to sell Marc Guehi this summer, says Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.
The defender is thought to be attracting interest from Tottenham, but Bridge thinks it would take a massive fee to get him out of Selhurst Park.
What is the latest news involving Guehi?
Last month, the Daily Mail reported that Guehi had caught the attention of Tottenham.
The 21-year-old, who is valued at £60m by the CIES Football Observatory, joined Palace from Chelsea last July and enjoyed a fantastic debut season in south London.
He missed just two Premier League games all campaign and came in for a lot of praise after his displays in defence helped the Eagles to a 12th-placed finish.
“He’s a joy to play alongside for sure. He is quite a reserved character but he leads by example,” Joel Ward said on BBC’s Monday Night Club (via All Football App) when discussing his Palace team-mate.

What has Bridge said about Guehi?
Bridge says Palace would want a massive offer for Guehi this summer, while he also thinks Tottenham will be keen to see the centre-back play another season in the Premier League before making a bid for him.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports reporter said: “I think Crystal Palace would want huge, huge money, and maybe they’d [Tottenham] want to watch him again for another season, but I really like him.
“I’ve spoken so many times about how good I think Palace’s recruitment was last season, and him and Gallagher were the main reasons for that. He’s a really good defender.”
How important is it for Palace to keep hold of Guehi?
It is pivotal. Despite only arriving at the club last year, Guehi is already a crucial cog in this Palace team.
In the 2021/22 season, he was their fourth-highest rated player on WhoScored and was also in the top four for aerial duels won after recording an average of 1.9.
When it came to clearances, he made 3.5 per game, which was only bettered by Joachim Anderson’s 3.6, further showing his importance to Patrick Vieira’s side at the back.
All things considered, it is no surprise that a side like Tottenham are looking at Guehi. However, what can only be described as good news for Palace, it seems that they are prioritising other defenders over the England international like RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.
If Guehi keeps things up, though, then Tottenham or another team from the big six will eventually come knocking.
