Ligue 1 Results, Round 28

A depleted Paris Saint-Germain side slipped to defeat against Stade Rennais, whilst Olympique de Marseille finally ended Will Still’s unbeaten run as Stade de Reims manager.

Lyon 1-1 Nantes

These sides will face each other in a Coupe de France semi-final in April, and nothing could separate them on Friday evening. Alexandre Lacazette cancelled out Nantes’ opener, but neither side could find a winner.

Toulouse 0-2 Lille

In an exciting game, it took until the 85th minute for the first goal to be scored. Alexsandro got the crucial opener before Mohamed Bayo secured the three points in the 11th minute of injury time. Les Dogues once again proved their European credentials and are just one point behind fifth-placed Rennes.

Lens 3-0 Angers

Angers remain cemented to the bottom of the table after yet another loss, their 22nd of the season. Thanks to a Seko Fofana goal and a Loïs Openda brace, Lens remain on the Ligue 1 podium. Angers haven’t won in Ligue 1 since September 18th.

Ajaccio 0-2 Monaco

It wasn’t pretty, but Monaco secured their first win since 19th February. Wissam Ben Yedder got the opener and Krépin Diatta secured the points late on. Les Monégasques remain three points off third-placed Rennes.

Troyes 2-2 Brest

A draw did neither side much good. Troyes remain in the relegation zone and three points away from safety. Brest are hovering just one point above the relegation places.

Nice 1-1 Lorient

Nice will feel aggrieved with the refereeing performance as they drew against Lorient. Gaëtan Laborde got the equalising goal late on for Les Aiglons, who were denied three penalty shouts, and saw a penalty decision for a foul on Khéphren Thuram overturned.

Strasbourg 2-0 Auxerre

Habib Diallo was once again on the scoresheet as Strasbourg got a crucial win in a battle at the bottom. The victory takes them three points away from the relegation zone.

Montpellier 2-1 Clermont Foot

Montpellier have really turned things around under Michel Der Zakarian and look certain to be playing Ligue 1 football next season. In-form striker Elye Wahi got both goals for La Paillade.

PSG 0-2 Rennes

A Steve Mandanda-inspired Rennes beat a defensively-depleted PSG at the Parc des Princes. Karl Toko Ekambi opened the scoring before former Parisien Arnaud Kalimuendo doubled the scoring. PSG’s lead at the top is cut to seven points.

Reims 1-2 Marseille

Still looked set to extend his unbeaten run after an early Folarin Balogun goal, but a sublime first-half brace from Alexis Sánchez consigned Still to his first defeat as Reims manager.
