Bild are reporting that Makoto Hasebe will make his decision on his future this month as his contract expires at Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.
When asked about what will influence his decision Hasebe said: “I have to have one last conversation with my family – promptly,” The 39-year-old joined Frankfurt in 2014 from Nürnberg and if he does decide to stay he will reach 10 years at the club by the time his contract expires.
Hasebe is still important for Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner. Even though he may not start as much, he is still important as an option off of the bench as well as in the dressing room as a whole. This season he has played 14 times for Frankfurt, but as of late has started four games since the new year in the Bundesliga.
The 39-year-old first arrived in the Bundesliga in 2008 when he joined Wolfsburg on a free transfer from Urawa Red Diamonds, winning the Bundesliga in his first season in Germany.
