Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has described Niclas Füllkrug as “a good player” amid reports linking the Werder Bremen forward with a move to Borussia-Park.
Roland Virkus has responded to reports suggesting that Gladbach have targeted Werder Bremen forward Niclas Füllkrug.
“Of course I know Niclas Füllkrug,” the Gladbach sporting director said in an interview with Sky Germany.
“He’s a good player. I’ve had a conversation with him before. When I was still youth director at Borussia, we once met with Niclas Füllkrug. That’s why I know him, but that’s the last contact we’ve had.
“There are many players who can help us. We have to look at the overall structure of the squad. But there are many guys, who could be interesting for Borussia Mönchengladbach.”
Füllkrug has been touted as a possible replacement Marcus Thuram, whose contract with Gladbach expires in the summer.
