It only seems to be a matter of time before FC Köln coach Steffen Baumgart will sign a new deal with the Bundesliga club.
According to the Express, the contract extension is “now just a formality”, with Baumgart poised to renew until 2025.
Sporting director Christian Keller wants to clarify the final details with Baumgart’s agent before the pre-season begins.
The 50-year-old joined Köln from Paderborn on a contract until 2023 last summer and led ‘The Billy Goats’ to a seventh-place finish in his first season in charge.
