André Breitenreiter is set to be named new Hoffenheim coach, according to multiple reports.

Breitenreiter will leave FC Zürich, with whom he recently won the Swiss league title, to take over the vacant position at Hoffenheim.

The Bundesliga outfit will reportedly activate a €300,000 release clause in the 48-year-old’s contract to bring him to Sinsheim.

Breitenreiter, a former Hannover 96, Schalke 04, Paderborn and TSG Havelse coach, will succeed Sebastian Hoeness, who left the position as Hoffenheim coach at the end of the 2021/22 season.
