After a successful loan spell at Schalke, 21-year-old attacker Darko Churlinov wants to make his move to the newly-promoted Bundesliga side permanent, according to Kicker.
The North Macedonian joined S04 on loan from Stuttgart for €100,000 last season, scoring two and creating seven in 22 games.
After earning promotion with Schalke, Churlinov would like to remain at the club and the Royal Blues would like to keep the attacking-midfielder at the VELTINS-Arena but Stuttgart’s asking price of €3m is too high.
And so, another loan with an option to buy would be a viable option.
Churlinov joined Stuttgart from Köln in 2020 and played 23 games before being sent on loan to Schalke, where he’s impressed bosses.
Schalke this week announced the signing of French midfielder Florent Mollet from Montpellier for a reported €500,000 and Tobias Mohr from 2. Bundesliga side Heidenheim for €1 million.
They also announced the appointment of Frank Kramer as head coach on Tuesday.
