Reigning Serie A champions Milan are unlikely to sign Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window.
Ziyech is having an excellent World Cup and be it attacking-wise or in terms of pressing, the Moroccan is impressing on the right-wing for the side.
Daniele Longo has now reported that Ricky Massara is huge admirer of Ziyech and this interest is not new. He has tried to bring him to Serie A in the past as well, but the chances of the Chelsea man arriving at Milan in January are have now lowered.
Milan will only intervene if it is strictly necessary but as of now, the Rossoneri feel well covered on the right wing by Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers. More than that, Milan now can’t afford to pay Ziyech’s salary, which is likely to increase after the World Cup and this is the main reason for why the negotiations have not taken off.
Massara though, will continue to monitor the player till the summer and spot for any opportunities that come up.
