VfL Wolfsburg have had a first bid for Portuguese centre-back David Carmo turned down by SC Braga, according to Kicker.
Per the German football magazine, Wolfsburg made an initial offer of €12.5 million for the 22-year-old.
Braga, however, are understood to be holding out for around €25 million for Carmo – a fee that ‘Die Wölfe’ are unlikely to pay for the defender, who has a €40 million release clause in his contract.
Carmo has made a total of 56 appearances for Braga and is under contract until 2025.
