Arsenal and Tottenham target Aaron Hickey has broken his silence on a potential transfer this summer. The 19-year-old has been the subject of interest for both North London clubs, however a deal remains to be struck over his signing.
It comes ahead of a huge summer for the two sides, where signings could change their trajectory over the upcoming season. For Mikel Arteta, he is hoping his side can go one further than last season and book a place in the Champions League.
To do that, the Spaniard will have to add depth to his squad in the window. On his plans, Arteta said: “We are going to have certain resources, not unlimited resources, some resources. And with our resources we have to play and do what we have to do in the best possible way.”

As for Antonio Conte, he will be looking to implant his own image on his squad after securing a top-four finish. “We need to improve a lot,” said the Italian on his transfer plans. “Next season the league will be very difficult for all the teams.
“With five subs you can change a game. If the bench is strong like a top team, like City, Chelsea, United and Liverpool, you need to improve a lot your squad in quality aspect and numerical aspect. You have to face in England three national competitions and one in the Champions League.”
In a bid to improve their squads, both have been linked with a move for Bologna youngster Aaron Hickey. The Scotland international made 36 appearances in Serie A last season, playing on both the left and the right.
In light of such speculation, the 19-year-old has broken his silence on a potential transfer. “I just look at it and keep my head down,” He said about transfer links. “Wherever I am I just focus on what I’m doing.”
It remains to be seen exactly where he will decide to join, should his side reach an agreement for a transfer.
