In an interview with Bild, Bayern Munich President Herbert Hainer confirms that they’re yet to reach an agreement with Serge Gnabry for a contract extension but are continuing to work towards one.
“We’ve been in talks with Serge for a long time, unfortunately there hasn’t been an agreement yet. There are still a few different ideas. We’re working on that,” said Hainer.
Gnabry has a contract until 2023 but rejected Bayern’s first contract extension offer of a reported €19m salary. According to Kicker, bosses of the Bundesliga champions want to make a decision quickly with a departure also a possibility this summer if they fail to find an agreement.
