With a successor for Frank Kramer yet to be announced, Schalke 04 have confirmed that Matthias Kreutzer will take charge of the upcoming game against Hertha on an interim basis.

Following the sacking of Frank Kramer, Schalke 04 have announced that Matthias Kreutzer will take charge of Sunday’s Bundesliga away clash with Hertha BSC.
“The coaching team, led by Matthias Kreutzer, will be able to best prepare the squad for the important game in Berlin in the short space of time we have,” commented the club’s sporting management.
“We will continue to look at all potential options we have for the role of head coach. We have a responsibility towards all 165,000 club members and the millions of fans we have.”
According to Bild, Sturm Graz coach Christian Ilzer is a candidate to succeed Kramer at Schalke.
