Christian Streich missed Freiburg’s Europa League game against Nantes last week and Matchday 9 against Hertha Berlin. He, and several assistants, returned to training on Wednesday after producing several negative covid tests.
Patrick Baier, who paced the touchline against Nantes, is the sole remaining coach still out with the virus. Florian Bruns joins Streich back with the team, while Lars Voßler and Julien Schuster will return to their respective roles after coaching the side over the weekend.
Freiburg travel to France for a rematch against Nantes on Thursday.
