Olympique Lyonnais have reportedly decided to part ways with their young star Bojan Zekovic (16) for disciplinary reasons, according to L’Équipe.
The young centre-forward, born in 2010 and regarded as one of Europe’s most promising prospects in his position, is set to be released following several warnings and a suspension. Promoted to the under-17s at just 14 years of age, Zekovic made a name for himself by scoring a total of 12 goals in 20 league matches during the 2024-25 season.
Having played for the under-19s since last season, the Franco-Serbian has scored one goal in four appearances. This is a major loss for OL, who were counting heavily on this young talent for the years to come.
AS Monaco, who have been monitoring him closely for several months, are reportedly interested in signing him, but are said to be considering whether to take discussions further due to image concerns.
