Jack Grealish hit the headlines in midweek when it was announced that he had been left out of Everton’s squad for their Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle United.
The Toffees beat Newcastle at Hill Dickinson Stadium to progress to the fifth round of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening. James Garner, Hayden Hackney and Thierno Barry were all on the scoresheet as Everton ran out 3-1 victors.
Prior to the match, it was announced that Grealish had been axed from Everton’s squad due ‘to a breach of club discipline.’
It later emerged that the Englishman had missed training on Monday when it was expected that he would be in attendance. His actions reportedly left Moyes and other club officials ‘incensed’. Grealish missed their match two days prior against Arsenal through illness.
Moyes was hesitant to open up on Grealish when asked about him following their victory against Newcastle. “You probably know I am not going to give any details [about what happened]. It is a club decision and I support it,” he said.
Asked whether he felt let down, Moyes replied: “It is something I don’t want to speak about too much.”
Further reports have now come to light detailing what Grealish had been up to days before he missed training and was axed from their squad against Newcastle.
Jack Grealish’s Behaviour Days Before Missing Training
It has now been reported that Grealish spent two nights on the trot ‘boozing’ in the days leading up to missing training.
According to the Sun, Grealish’s ‘boozy’ week started when he attended the Pride of Britain Awards at London’s Grosvenor House hotel on Monday, October 19.
He did not go straight home after the ceremony and instead attended BAM Karaoke Box in London’s Victoria, staying at the venue until the early hours.

An insider told the Sun: “Jack was in great spirits after the awards and went out into London with a couple of mates.
“He got to BAM very late and stayed there until the early hours. They had several drinks, sang some songs and headed off very late. He looked like he was having a brilliant time.”
Despite being up very late and going back up to Merseyside on Tuesday, it is said he attended training later that day.
Grealish is also said to have been out drinking on Tuesday evening. He was allegedly seen in the Mucky Pup Irish bar in Wilmslow, where he met up with Everton teammates Jordan Pickford and Tyler Dibling, as well as former England and Man City teammate Kyle Walker.
One onlooker said: “They were watching the PSG v Barcelona game in a private back room of the pub. They were in good spirits and there were a lot of drinks being knocked back by all of them, including Jack.”
Grealish did not have to get up to go to training the following day as Everton’s players were given a day off.
The 31-year-old rejoined Everton on a season-long loan in the summer. He is yet to record a goal contribution in six games for the club so far this season.
Moyes did not confirm whether Grealish would be available for selection when the Toffees travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle on Monday evening.
