Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week sent something of a request the way of Brazil national team counterpart Carlo Ancelotti.
This comes in the form of a plea regarding his usage of Blaugrana star Raphinha.
Attacker Raphinha has for his part taken his place centre stage in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona once more over the last 24 hours.
Fresh off his return to fitness after suffering an injury during the September international break, the former Leeds United man was afforded a call-up to Brazil’s next squad, for an upcoming pair of friendly fixtures in November.
News of as much did not go down all too well in Catalunya’s capital, with those of a Barca persuasion keen for their captain and attacking star to be afforded a well-earned rest.
Drawn on the situation during an exchange with the media on Friday, Hansi Flick therefore made use of the opportunity to send a request to Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti:
“Every player wants to represent their national team and help their country. I’d be happy if he could manage his minutes a little. We know travelling isn’t ideal in this situation, but it’s beyond my control…”
