For some time now, Bayern Munich and Harry Kane have been in talks over a contract extension that would keep the striker at the club beyond 2027.
While both parties have expressed optimism about reaching a full agreement, nothing has been announced yet.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen expressed confidence that the negotiations with the Ballon d’Or winner will be brought to a successful conclusion.
“I’m very optimistic about that. We have had good discussions and are now working through the details,” Dreesen said and went on to praise the impact Kane has made since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur three years ago.
“We brought an absolute Premier League superstar to the club in the summer of 2023 when we signed Harry,” he continued.
“He has evolved from a traditional penalty-box striker into a player comparable to an NFL quarterback. Not every coach in the world may understand that. But for us, he has been worth every euro.”
